    I have always wanted a nice mortar and pestle, so I was excited to get this Marble Mortar and Pestle by Greenco.  I just love the natural marble colors and markings on this set.  They are beautiful and made very well with a lot of care.  I love that the exterior is polished and the inside is natural marble. It makes for easier grinding and I think it looks great!  I like to use it for garlic cloves while cooking and ginger root for my tea.  I am sure over the years I will find more and more uses for it,  like mint for tea or infused water.  

     

    This piece weighs about 5 lbs and it very sturdy.  I like the way it looks on my counter top.  It cleans up easily with just a rinse in the sink.  I think this would make a nice gift as well as a stylish and useful addition to any kitchen where herbs, spices and fresh ingredients are prepared.
