This is my first time trying any type of dead sea bath salts and I was very impressed with how they work in a nice warm bath. First of all there is no strong scent , which I like, they dissolved very nicely and worked great as it exfoliated and soothed at the same time. I could tell right away that these bath salts were much nicer than using epsom salts. I was so impressed I used it in the bath with our 2yr old who has eczema. She wanted to stay in the bath longer and did not scratch at herself like she normally does after a bath because of the eczema. So I think she felt some relief. Next I tried this recipe and made up some beautiful small glass jars with tinted various scented bath salts to share with my friends.
- Coarse dead sea salt
- Baking soda
- Essential oils
- Food coloring
Step 1In a large bowl, mix to combine: 6 parts coarse dead sea salts; to soothe tired muscles and reduce inflammation; and 1 part baking soda, to soften waters and alleviate skin irritation.
Step 2Add a few drops of essential oils, and combine.
Step 3Add a few drops of food coloring, until you achieve the desired shade. If you intend to present the bath salts as gifts, be sure to store them in a stoppered and labeled container to keep out moisture. The 3 friends I shared this bath time treat with, all raved about how good they felt afterward and wanted to know what I used because they could tell these were no ordinary bath salts.I received this product in exchange for a review.
