Oversight: Abstract Strategy Game

Description of Oversight:

An abstract strategy game, Griddly Games’ Oversight (MSRP $24.95, for 2 – 4 players ages 7 and up) is a fast-paced 4-in-a-row game. With a 4-color checker-style block board, Oversight adds movable squares and tokens for a completely fun challenge to outwit your opponents to get four colors in a row.

Because the game is based solely on getting the colors in order (symbols are also on the playing pieces for color blind individuals), the game is ideal for multi-language availability. The directions are printed in English, Spanish, German and French.

To play Oversight, players, on their turn, can either place a token on the board, or shift an entire row or column of moveable squares over by one space. The rules are simple but the game gets increasingly challenging as players learn from their mistakes and predict their opponents’ moves.

I was excited to get to try Oversight: Abstract Strategy Game by Griddly Games.  Our little girls are just starting to get to play boardgames and I thought this would make a nice addition to our growing collection.  I like that 2 to 4 people can play so if they want to play the game with each other, they can.  I love that it is not difficult to understand but it is challenging. I like that the playing board and the game pieces are made very well and are quite sturdy.  I like that we can all play and have fun as a family.  I recommend you add this game to your game night collection!
