Oscillococcinum: Drug Facts

Uses*:

Temporarily relieves flu-like symptoms such as body aches, headache, fever, chills and fatigue.

Directions:
Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Dissolve entire contents of one tube in the mouth every 6 hours, up to 3 times a day.

 Children under 2 years of age: Ask a doctor.

Oscillo is available in 6, 12 or 30 doses.

Active Ingredient**:

• Anas barbariae 200CK HPUS – To reduce the duration and severity of flu-like symptoms

The letters HPUS indicate that the active ingredients are officially included in the Homeopathic Pharmacopœia of the United States.

Inactive Ingredients:

• lactose, sucrose

Warnings:

• Ask a doctor before use in children under 2 years of age.

• Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days or worsen.

• If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

• Keep out of reach of children.

 

Other Information:

• Do not use if glued carton end flaps are open or if the tray seal is broken.

• Each 0.04 oz dose (1 g) contains 1 g of sugar.

• Store at 68-77°F (20-25°C).

                         Here Is Mine!

I was happy to get to try Oscillococcinum for flu like symptoms by Boiron.  Unfortunately, I recently woke up with the first signs of the flu so I thought it would be the perfect time to try Oscillococcinum.  I opened the first tube and poured the contents onto my tongue.  I was surprised that it was like crushed rock candy, like a large grained sugar and tasted good!  

I let the crystals dissolve on my tongue and  swallowed them.  I did this every 6 hours for 2 days and I was really happy to wake up each day feeling ok.  My daughter started getting the same flu symptoms on the very same morning but due to being pregnant could not take the oscilloccoccinum so she ended up feeling rotten with the flu. I felt bad for her but I was so happy that this homeopathic medicine worked for me!
